Upcoming French Cultural Events

May 15, 6.30 @ The Egyptian Theater, Hollywood

The French Mission for Culture and Higher Education in partnership with the American Cinematheque and the Alliance Française de Los Angeles is proud to organize an event celebrating the centenary of Romain Gary's birth. A man of many lives – war hero, author, diplomat, film director – Romain Gary was a multifaceted French icon whose life was itself a novel.

Please join us for a screening of Roots of Heaven, John Huston's film based on a novel by Gary and a Q&A with Princeton professor and translator David Bellos. There will be a reception and booksigning before the screening.

Come and celebrate one of France's most fascinating writers!
