French acrobatic troupe Compagnie XY bring their mesmerizing show "It’s Not Yet Midnight" to Discovery Green for its US premiere. Two free and family-friendly performances, to be held inside the George R. Brown Convention Center on the 2nd floor balcony.

An interview with Romain Guimard, acrobat and light designer from Compagnie XY, is available here.

The event is supported by FACE Contemporary Theater, a program developed by FACE Foundation and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States.

A Modern Vision presents a selection of the most iconic European paintings and sculptures from the world renowned Phillips Collection (Washington, DC).

Viewers will encounter a stunning array of masterpieces including paintings by French artists who shaped the visual art of the twentieth century: Courbet, Corot, Daumier, Delacroix, Ingres,Cézanne, Degas, Gauguin, Manet, Monet, Redon, Sisley, Bonnard and Matisse.

On view at the Kimbell Art Museum until August 13, 2017.

Multiple Selves: Portraits in Print from Rembrandt to Rivera, on view at the Dallas Museum of Art, examines how the artist views him or herself as the subject of a work of art. The showcased works span from the 17th century through the 20th century and feature French artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir.

ETANT DONNES CONTEMPORARY ART
DEADLINE: AUGUST 23

The 2017 call for applications for Etant donnés - the French-American Fund for Contemporary Art -  is now open! Projects taking place between November 2017 and June 2018 will be eligible.

This new season features three different grant programs:
- Grants to Artistic Projects
- Curatorial Fellowships
- Etant donnés Residencies

The applications will be reviewed in September 2017 by Etant donnés' Artistic Committee, comprised of independent American and French professionals specialized in contemporary art.
