January 13 - 24, 2014 I Austin

French dramatic center Comédie de Caen led by Jean Lambert-wild and New York production company FuturePerfect, in association with the University of Texas at Austin's Departments of Digital Arts and Media Bridging Disciplines, Integrated Media with Live Performance, and Fusebox Festival, will begin a two-week residency at the University of Austin, to develop, test, and implement an animation system for "Me in Front of Me", a new adaptation of Shakespeare's "Richard III". The premiere is scheduled for March 2015 in Le Havre, France.

The Chateaubriand Fellowship is offered by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the US. Every year, it allows doctorate students enrolled in American universities to conduct research in France for up to 8 months. Please note that the application deadline has been postponed. The Texas French Symposium is a statewide competition for high school students of French (non-native French speakers). French teachers from any high school in Texas may bring students to compete in oral events, academic tests, art and music as well as sports competitions. While students are competing, teachers help with judging and event operations. The 2014 symposium will be held at Atascocita High School in Humble ISD on March 28 and 29. Want to get involved?
