This is the last call for the 2017 France on Campus Award launched by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy. The Award is intended to help student organizations eager to create or continue a major France-related project on campus by providing a unique package of funding, mentorship and networking. Projects can encompass all fields, including (but not limited to) visual arts, design, film, food, journalism, music, photography, performance, publishing, science, and technology.

Alumni of the Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF) are now eligible for a guaranteed $10,000 per year scholarship if admitted to Middlebury Institute of International Studies (Monterey, CA) graduate programs in recognition of their commitment to language and cross-cultural exchange. BILINGUAL EDUCATION |
The success of dual language education in the United States reflects the fact that bilingualism is a priority for more and more families. The benefits of bilingual education are widely recognized. Beyond open-mindedness and superior cognitive and intellectual agility, bilingualism lends competencies that enhance the student’s attractiveness when applying to universities, and later supports their advancement in an increasingly international job market. The Cultural Service of the French Embassy in Houston congratulates Eisenhower International School (Tulsa, OK) on receiving the LabelFrancEducation. In 2016, the FACE foundation, in partnership with the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States, created a Fund for French Dual Language and Immersion Programs. We are pleased to announce that Mark White Elementary School in Houston (TX) and Eisenhower International School in Tulsa (OK) are among the applicants who will receive financial support in order to develop their bilingual programs. Pap Ndiaye, historian, specializing in the social history of the United States with a focus on its minorities, gives a lecture at Rice University: The French Debate on Reparations for Slavery: A Pragmatic Approach. This program is organized with the support of the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the U.S.
Pap Ndiaye holds a doctorate from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) where he was a lecturer before being selected in 2012 as Professor at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po). READ MORE |
