Innovative Impressions explores an under-studied aspect of three Impressionists’ careers: their groundbreaking prints and the techniques they developed through collaboration and experimentation. Screening at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston of "Manet: Portraying Life" at the Royal Academy of Arts in London. The film offers behind-the-scenes moments of preparing the 2013 exhibition which brought together Edouard Manet works from Europe, Asia, and the United States, while interweaving a superbly crafted biography of the painter and 19th-century Paris.

Screening at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston of “Cézanne: Portraits of a Life” from the National Portrait Gallery, London; the Musée d’Orsay, Paris; and the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC. The film features interviews with curators and experts involved in the 2017 and 2018 exhibition dedicated to the portrait work of Paul Cézanne. The exhibition opened in Paris before traveling to London and concluding in Washington, DC.

Jérémie Royer, French illustrator, designer and co-author - along with Fabien Grolleau - of Audubon, On the Wings of the World (Nobrow Press, April 2017) will be touring Texas in September. May you be interested in inviting this author to a panel discussion, reading, signing, or symposium within your institution, please contact us!

Raised in Nice, Jérémie Royer studied in comic book art and illustration at the École Supérieure des Arts Saint-Luc in Brussels and is now based in Paris. His latest work is a comic tracing the life of French botanist Jean-Jacques Audubon (1785-1851), born in Haiti, who devoted his life to ornithology in the United States.
