World premiere of "Destination in Five Movements", a social sculpture by Paris-based artist Monte Laster commissioned by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra for SOLUNA International Music & Arts Festival in Dallas.

The Visual Arts Alliance (VAA) takes a comprehensive look at the contemporary art scene in Paris, guided by Anna Tahinci, PhD, head of the Art History Department of the Glassell School of Art. Dr. Tahinci will present an in-depth consideration of Paris, a city that keeps renewing itself by constantly showcasing vibrant contemporary art.

A diverse selection of artworks, gifts and acquisitions that have helped to shape and explore the McNay Art Museum's collection. Among the diverse works are French sculptures of the late 19th century including sculptures by Rodin.

Emerging from a curatorial residency at Fieldwork: Marfa, Jennifer Burris will present a performative lecture on June 2nd at the Austin Contemporary, incorporating sound fragments, archival material, and voice testimonials to explore the legacy of cross-pollination between electronic music and Minimalist sculpture in the 1960s and 1970s.

This month, the Cultural Service created a special playlist inspired by Baudelaire's petit poème en prose "Enivrez-vous". "de vin, de poésie ou de vertu à votre guise"... ou de musique!

Debut concert of the Francoeur Chamber Music Society. Founder and cellist Louis-Marie Fardet will be joined by violinist Chavdar Parashkevov and pianist Viktor Valkov in performances of trios by Haydn, Mendelssohn, and Shostakovich.

Open Auvergne program depicting life in Norman's Sister City Clermont-Ferrand and the region of Auvergne is presented at the University of Oklahoma in partnership with the université Blaise Pascal and the université of Clermont-Ferrand. The program will include short films from the International Short Film Festival Clermont-Ferrand.

Director Wim Wenders and Juliano Salgado have co-directed a documentary about Juliano's father Sebastião Salgado, a world-acclaimed Brazilian photographer who settled in France in 1969 and has been living and working there ever since. On view at the River Oaks Theater, Houston starting May 2015.
