Each month, this Cultural Agenda invites you to discover a selection of French literature, cinema, performing arts, exhibits, events and concerts in the Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas region.

This month, the spotlight is on French literature with the visit of French poet, novelist, and essayist Alain Mabanckou and French philosopher and director of research at the CNRS, Marc Crépon.

The Menil exhibit "Experiments with Truth: Gandhi and Images of Nonviolence" is the first international project to explore the resonance of Gandhi's ethics of non-violence "satyagraha" in the visual arts. On display from October 2nd, 2014 to February 1st, 2015 an exhibit not to be missed. French photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson's documenting of Gandhi's last years are major testimony of the period.
