The Disposable Film Festival premieres its 8th annual competitive shorts program here in San Francisco before screening it around the world, presenting a slection of international films.

Born in Tbilisi and based in France for many years, Nino Kirtadze has established a distinguished career as both an actor and a documentary filmmaker. Pacific Film Archive will be hosting her in this short residency and learning more from her presentations.

“Short Circuit” introduces a selection of French Short films from a new filmmakers’ generation intersecting brilliant comedies, fiction genre short works that will take you on a unique journey into young film creation from France.

Pacific Film Archive's year-long Jean-Luc Godard retrospective continues with some of the master’s more recent films, as well as two of his monumental rarely screened serial essays, France/tour/détour/deux/enfants and Histoire(s) du cinéma.

Conducted by film historian Manfred Flügge, the class will feature several films by Truffaut, with an emphasis on the 1962 award-winning "Jules et Jim".
