October 9, 2015 | 7:00 pm

'I need images, I need representation which deals in other means than reality. We have to use reality but get out of it. That's what I try to do all the time.’ Agnès Varda

On the occasion of her exhibition Photographs Get Moving, (potatoes and shells, too) and the screening of selected films,  Agnès Varda, artist-in-residence at the University of Chicago from Oct 8-15,  will speak about and reflect upon various stages of her long and rich artistic career as a photographer, as filmmaker, and as a visual artist. Her artist talk will be followed by a question-and-answer session moderated by Dominique Bluher, Lecturer and Director of MA Studies in the Department of Cinema and Media Studies.
