French Flutist Jean Ferrandis and pianist Angela Favazza perform Franck’s Sonata, Bizet/Borne’s Carmen Fantasy and Poulenc’s Sonata. Ferrandis is an internationally renowned flautist and conductor who has performed in prestigious concert halls around the world, including the Salle Pleyel and Théâtre des Champs Elysées in Paris. HOUSTON, TX | MARCH 30 | 8PM
Recital by French pianist Philippe Bianconi, including works from Chopin, Debussy and Schumann. He has been described as an artist whose playing is “always close to the soul of the music, filling the space with poetry and life” (Washington Post). After winning the Silver Medal in the Seventh Van Cliburn International Competition, Bianconi made an acclaimed recital debut at Carnegie Hall in 1987 and, since then, has enthralled audiences and critics throughout the world.
