TV5MONDE has launched its first video on demand (VOD) cable plateform devoted solely to French-language films. TV5MONDE Cinema On Demand will be available to Comcast customers who are subscribers of TV5MONDE USA's linear channel. An average of 15 movies, both recent favorites and classic films, will be offered each month.

Unifrance Films International and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy are pleased to offer a variety of recent French films not yet released in the United States to American colleges and universities. This selection, made by French sales agents and producers, represents the impressive diversity of contemporary French cinema.“The Discovery Selection” includes first time directorial debuts as well as the work of respected and revered directors, many of which premiered in French and international film festivals. These films are available on DVD or blu-ray for screening in classes, film festivals, or special events.

The French Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) program offers American schools the possibility to welcome young aspiring teachers from France into their schools to serve as teaching assistants. TAs can lead conversation groups, attend language laboratories, research and create class materials, coordinate extra-curricular activities on campus, or appear as guest speakers in cultural courses.

Chateaubriand Humanities & Social Sciences (HSS) is a fellowship program offered by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the US. It targets outstanding Ph.D. students from American universities who seek to engage in research in France, in any discipline of the Humanities and Social Sciences. HSS Chateaubriand fellows are selected through a merit-based competition, through a binational collaborative process involving expert evaluators from both countries.

HSS Chateaubriand grantees are applicants who answer the program’s criteria of excellence and whose sojourn in France will support the program’s philosophy. The HSS Chateaubriand fellowship program’s purpose is to foster bilateral cooperation at Ph.D. and research level, and to build and strengthen bridges between our two nations.
