French Authors on Tour - Spring and Fall Preview

“Minds in Migration," the series of debates launched in partnership with the College International de Philosophy, continues next month in Season II. February 9 at the Jewish Community Center in New York, there will be a discussion with Benjamin Stora on the History of Jewish-Muslim Relations, a book he co-edited with the late Abedelwahab Meddeb. Benjamin Stora will also be at Albertine Books in French and English on February 10. The series will conclude with a discussion featuring Marie-Monique Robin, author of Our Daily Poison.

Also coming in April: Best-selling graphic novelist Annie Goetzinger, who will present her beautiful docudrama on Christian Dior at this year's MoCCA Arts Festival in New York City. As the month draws to a close, the Cultural Services of the French Embassy will host a Night of Philosophy, a variety of lectures and artistic performances that will last from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on April 25.

In May, the physician, historian, novelist, and former French Ambassador Jean-Christophe Ruffin will take part in the PEN World Voices Festival. And this fall, you can catch 2013 Goncourt winner Pierre Lemaitre at the Brooklyn Book Festival.

Several of the authors taking part in the Night of Philsosophy and the PEN World Voices Festival will be available for lectures--stay tuned for details!

The authors listed below would be delighted to meet other audiences all over the U.S.  Are you interested? Through our booking program, the authors are available for panel discussions, readings, signings, and symposia, with limited funding available. Priority will be given to institutions that submit a detailed project for an American audience, especially events with wide visibility such as book fairs and multidisciplinary festivals. Preference will also be given to panels involving international or American writers, or events organized in conjunction with an exhibition or another special program. To apply, please read the application procedures, fill out the application form, and send it to Marine Baudoin for fiction and Anne-Sophie Hermil for non-fiction.

We look forward to working with you on future projects!
