Movies in the Parks is Chicago's favorite summertime tradition, bringing big-screen entertainment to a park near you! For the 2016 edition, the Cultural Service at the Consulate General of France in Chicago is partnering with the Chicago Park District to present Films on the Lake, a sampling of some of France's best films in Chicago's local parks as part of the Chicago Park District’s 16th annual free outdoor Movies in the Parks, presented by Bank of America. Each screening is part of a larger celebration, in which musical entertainment and samples of food will be provided in partnership with each park community’s organizations and associations.

Films on the Lake is presented in partnership with Bastille Day Chicago, Hyde Park Art Center, the Consulate General of Mexico and The National Museum of Mexican Art with the support of KidsTrail and France Chicago Center
