Hélène Vanthier
is a teacher at the Centre de Linguistique Appliquée at the Université de Franche-Comté and specializes in the pedagogy of teaching French to young audiences, a subject on which she has written several books and studies. In her workshop, she will invite teachers to question the means at their disposal to teach French to non-native speakers in elementary schools, including through role-playing activities, analysis of different practices, and theoretical reflections. A new selection of movies is now available at the IF Cinema! Teachers (K-12, colleges, universities and Alliances Françaises) can access the platform of the Institut Français for educational purposes. More than 300 royalty-free films are available along with over 50 educational kits. To have access to the films, teachers must register and have their educational project validated.

Musique et amuse-bouche au Café Français
On September 16th gathered ‘’Le Café Français” at la Residence de France, where French teachers from middle school, high school and university celebrated the ‘’kick off’’ of the new school year, and heard Bertrand Laurence speak about the "ateliers chanson" he offers to French classes throughout New England, a workshop which sets out to create a entire song in French. The delicious amuse-bouche were prepared by Residence Chef Etienne.
