French Culture
 

Jérémie Guez has been hailed as the rising star of contemporary French crime, and at just 26, is the author of four novels: "Paris la nuit", "Balancé dans les cordes", "Le dernier tigre rouge" and "Eyes Full of Empty" ("Du vide plein les yeux") which is the first English translation of Guez’s work. This young and talented French author will read from his book and be joined in conversation with James Ellroy, the master of crime fiction, and his translator Edward Gauvin, on November 6th at Skylight Books in Los Angeles. He will be in San Diego on November 11th for a signature.

The UCLA Faculty Center will be hosting a conference entitled "On the Margins of the Holocaust: Jews, Muslims, and Colonialism in North Africa During the Second World War". September 4, 2015 - December 4, 2015 | Del Vaz Projects is pleased to announce ‟Superstition”, the first solo exhibition of French artist Hadrien Jacquelet. Jacquelet presents all new small and large format works painted with oil and spray paint on canvas. This show marks a departure in Jacquelet’s work which previously concentrated almost obsessively on Michael Jackson painted in small format head-and-shoulder portraits.
