This month's topic is "Braque's Second Career and Wines of Burgundy."

DANSE is a French-American Festival of Performance and Ideas presented by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in partnership with fourteen leading New York City arts organizations. The Festival is a multifacted initiative centered on contemporary dance including a three-week festival, a series of public talks and two publications. In response to the increasing demand for critical analysis in the dance world, the French Cultural Services and les presses du réel are producing two publications that offer many perspectives on where contemporary dance stands on an international scale today. DANSE: AN ANTHOLOGY is a selection of twenty-five key writings on choreography since 2000 across the French, U.S., and international dance scenes.
DANSE: A CATALOG
will examine key issues raised over the course of the DANSE festival to investigate the challenges of contemporary dance today and offer perspectives on positions it could develop in the future.
