The shipwreck La Belle will be reconstructed live at the Bullock Museum in the special exhibit, La Belle: The Ship That Changed History. Showcasing the recently conserved hull timbers excavated from the 1686 French shipwreck in Matagorda Bay, this exhibition tells an incredible story through newly edited film footage, rare artifacts, touchpad interactives, and interviews with conservators. Even more extraordinary is the opportunity to watch live as experts reassemble a 600-piece timber jigsaw puzzle into the very vessel that changed history.

Albertine will also be a venue for French-American and European-American debates and discussions. The bookstore was inaugurated this September by French Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development Laurent Fabius.
