For many years, as part of the world wide celebration of the “Mois de la Francophonie”, the Consulate General of France in Boston has organized a fun day of French activities for middle school and high school students in Massachusetts. The Consulate General of France continues to support this event, but due to an administrative change, will not be able to organize the event this year. So, the AATF and a couple of French educators and Francophiles have stepped up to the task.
The event will start at 9 am. Students
must arrive between 8:30 and 8:50 am.
From 9:30 to 11 a.m., students will participate in fun activities in French. Each participating school will be asked to prepare a 5 minute cultural show in French based on a Francophone country. It could be a poem, a song, a dance or a skit. Note that this is an opportunity, not an obligation.
Immediately after the presentations, schools will enjoy a concert by the Franco-Togolais artist, Brice Kapel. Prizes will be awarded after the show. The celebration will conclude at 12:30 p.m.
Space is limited to 800 students. First come, first served. To register, please click here to complete the interest form. The full program will be sent to registered schools.
