French student and graphic designer Elaine Guillot is trying to reinvigorate Francophonie in North Louisiana. In her interview with the Consulate General, Elaine unveils her unconventional methods and efforts to reaffirm the importance of French in Lincoln Parish.

The 30th anniversary of Festival International of Louisiana will close its first day with a great French artist, CharlElie Couture! Louisianans will be the first to hear his newest songs, recorded last December in Acadiana.

Now in its fourth year, the Semaine Française d’Arnaudville will take place from April 11-17, 2016! 

The 2016 Semaine Française d’Arnaudville is a week-long Creative Placemaking summit, developed with the assistance of the Consulate General of France in Louisiana, that works to build partnerships between Louisiana French culture and the Francophone world.

Join us at Café Istanbul on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 2pm for a modern ball, the Guinguette, featuring a variety of well-known, local French musicians!

This March and April, the Acadiana Center for the Arts will feature the exhibit "Haiti: Paintings from Paradise".

Herman Mhire, curator of the collection, proposed the exhibition of more than 100 paintings on the occasion of Festival International’s 30th anniversary in the spring of 2016.
