Tuesday, May 26, 2015, the Senate and House of Representatives of Louisiana gave special recognition to French language and companies for Codofil Day at the Capitol Building in Baton Rouge.

In honor of the 21st UN Conference on Climate Change to be hosted by Paris in December 2015, The Alliance Francaise Foundation has proposed the theme for its 5th international photo contest: “Climate: State of Urgency.”

Candidates are invited to submit works illustrating the issues that arise in their climate and its actual or perceived changes, the resulting effects on people’s lives and the solutions, public or private, which in their countries are taken or imagined to fight against the negative effects of these developments.

The City of Paris and the Institut français, France’s international agency for foreign cultural action affiliated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, offer an artist-in-residence program dedicated to established foreign artists and writers at the “Centre International des Récollets”, a venue for artists and researchers from around the world.
